About Us
We connect trained service dogs with people who need support, independence, companionship, and a renewed sense of confidence.
WHO WE ARE
We Exist to Change Lives, One Dog at a Time
Companion Assistance Dogs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to training and placing exceptional service dogs with individuals living with physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities. We believe that independence is a right, not a privilege, and that the right dog-handler partnership can open doors that no other intervention can.
Our work is guided by a whole-person philosophy. We do not simply train dogs. We build partnerships, restore confidence, and walk alongside every person we serve from the very first application through a lifetime of support.
We rescue and rehabilitate dogs with care, giving them safety, training, and a renewed opportunity to become trusted service companions.
We provide gentle rehabilitation that helps rescued dogs recover, rebuild confidence, and prepare for a healthier, safer, and more purposeful life as service companions.
We support thoughtful adoption by matching service dogs with the right handlers and families, ensuring every placement is safe, responsible, and life-changing.
